Thank you for stopping by.
My name is Sarah Klein, and I am a UX and Interaction Designer. I envision futures in digital product design and interaction. Currently, I design for business intelligence, enterprise software, and education. I have a Master's in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University focused in Educational Technology and Learning Science.
I begin by understanding what we know and assume about users. I engage in generative and evaluative user research collaboratively and independently. After communicating insights to stakeholders, I facilitate ideation sessions in which designers and non-designers alike can identify problem statements, articulate design criteria, and inform project roadmaps. From there, I build prototypes that test design principles and interaction schemes. I deliver workflows, interaction, and UI designs that build into design systems. From there, I work with Agile teams to bring optimal UX to life in software.
When I work with educational technology, I also integrate Learning Science research and best-practices into my Learning Experience Design practice. I can measure whether or not students are learning and can defend results with data. Additionally, I have experience conducting user research with children.
I am also a skilled workshop facilitator and educator. Because of my past teaching background, I find joy in teaching members of the team about design thinking, user experience, and learner experience design. I have also participated in Design Sprints.
I love to collaborate, so please reach out and say hello using the contact form below.
